Dr. Jean Leahy, licensed in Illinois and Indiana

Dr. Leahy has international experience with both adults and adolescents. Transitions, culture shock and the various issues that accompany life, geographical, social and career changes.

Dr. Jean Leahy has over ten years of experience as a clinical psychologist treating adolescents and adults. She co-founded a successful group psychotherapy practice in London and provided psychotherapy to the international community residing in London. Expatriates of North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand were treated for various issues. This international experience sensitized her to life transitions in many realms; identity, career, culture and geography. Dr. Leahy also worked with University students in London and United States Embassy employees and their dependents.

She has experience in working with bright, energetic, ambitious men and women in various fields including; finance, law, business, investment banking, trading, education, journalism and health professions. Dr. Leahy also specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, relationship and adjustment issues and eating disorders. She has also presented seminars on relocation, transition issues, culture shock and eating disorders.

As a licensed doctoral level psychologist, Dr. Leahy is covered by traditional insurance policies that reimburse psychological services by in-network and out-of-network providers. She will assist clients in filing claims for insurance reimbursement.
