Dr. Patricia McMahon, licensed in Illinois

Dr. McMahon is an experienced psychologist who has helped individuals with a wide variety of issues. Dedicated to working with each individual as a whole person, she assists her clients in identifying thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that derail them from meeting their life goals. Sometimes this entails visiting the past to better understand how it influences the future. But the purpose of psychotherapy is to discover and explore opportunities for change in an individual client's ongoing life. Thus, Dr. McMahon helps her clients work through current struggles so that her clients can achieve more control and direction in their lives. Her goal is to help each indivividual obtain a better understanding of what interferes with finding happiness, solving problems, or achieving desired goals -- and to pursue changes chosen by the individual.

The journey belongs to you.

Psychotherapy is a personal journey that belongs to the client. Although Dr. McMahon provides assistance informed by her training and experience, each client sets his/her own goals or end points. This collaboration supports each client reclaim what appears to be lost in his/her life, and to redirect him/herself to reach these ends.
